Work With Me

Rebuilding self-trust, meaning, and belonging after religion

Greathearted

Leaving Religion Is About More Than Beliefs

Many people think deconstruction is about theology.

But for most of us, the deeper challenge begins after the beliefs change.

You lose certainty.

You lose community.

You lose identity.

You lose the framework that once helped you make sense of the world.

You may find yourself wondering:

  • Who am I now?
  • Why do I still feel lost?
  • What are my values?
  • How do I trust myself?
  • Where do I belong?
  • What gives my life meaning?

Greathearted was created to help answer those questions.

What is Greathearted?

A Guided Journey Through Reconstruction

Greathearted is an 8-week one-on-one coaching experience designed specifically for people recovering from religious conditioning and rebuilding life on the other side of faith.

Each week includes:

✓ Private video lessons

✓ Practical exercises, reflection tools, and other downloadable resources

✓ Weekly one-on-one coaching sessions with Jake

✓ Personalized support tailored to your story

This is not therapy.

This is not theological debate.

This is not about telling you what to believe.

This is about helping you reconnect with trusting yourself.

Where we're going

Week 1 - Naming the Story

Understand the story that shaped you and begin making sense of your journey.

Together we'll explore the beliefs, experiences, relationships, and turning points that formed your worldview, while creating space to acknowledge both the gifts and wounds you've carried forward.

Practical Tools:

  • Personal Story Timeline
  • Faith & Life Milestones Exercise
  • The "What Happened to Me?" Reflection Guide

Takeaway: Greater clarity about your story and how it continues to shape your life today.

Week 2 - Understanding Conditioning

Explore how religion shaped your nervous system, beliefs, behaviors, and relationship with yourself.

We'll examine the hidden programming of high-control religion, including fear, guilt, shame, perfectionism, people-pleasing, and the ways these patterns become embedded in both the brain and body.

Practical Tools:

  • Conditioning Inventory
  • Trigger Mapping Exercise
  • Introduction to Parts Awareness

Takeaway: The ability to recognize old programming when it shows up instead of automatically reacting to it.

Week 3 - Rebuilding Self-Trust

Learn to reconnect with your intuition, inner wisdom, and capacity for self-leadership.

We'll explore the difference between fear-driven parts and the deeper Self while beginning to cultivate trust in your own judgment, desires, values, and lived experience.

Practical Tools:

  • Self-Trust Inventory
  • Daily Self-Check-In Practice
  • The 8 C's of Self Reflection

Takeaway: A stronger connection to your inner compass and growing confidence in your ability to navigate life.

Week 4 - Reclaiming Your Values

Discover what truly matters to you and begin building a life aligned with your deepest values.

Instead of asking who you're supposed to be, we'll explore who you're becoming and identify the values that can guide your decisions moving forward.

Practical Tools:

  • Values Discovery Exercise
  • Values Ranking Assessment
  • Integrity & Alignment Reflection

Takeaway: A personalized set of values that can serve as your compass for decision-making and identity reconstruction.

Week 5 - Grief, Anger & Emotional Integration

Learn how to process difficult emotions and create space for healing and growth.

We'll explore grief, anger, sadness, fear, and emotional suppression while developing healthier ways of feeling, expressing, and integrating emotions that may have been buried for years.

Practical Tools:

  • Grief Inventory
  • Emotional Expression Practices
  • Somatic Awareness & Breathwork Exercises

Takeaway: Increased emotional capacity and a healthier relationship with difficult emotions.

Week 6 - Belonging & Community

Explore connection, relationships, and the challenge of finding your people after religion.

We'll discuss loneliness, rebuilding trust, setting boundaries, maintaining relationships with believing family members, and creating authentic community beyond institutional religion.

Practical Tools:

  • Relationship Mapping Exercise
  • Boundary Assessment
  • Community Vision Worksheet

Takeaway: A clearer understanding of the kinds of relationships and communities that support your growth.

Week 7 - Ritual & Meaning

Create meaningful practices that support a grounded and intentional life.

Many people leave religion wondering how to create meaning without the structure they once relied on. Together we'll explore purpose, wonder, ritual, mindfulness, and what makes life meaningful to you.

Practical Tools:

  • Meaning Inventory
  • Personal Ritual Design Exercise
  • Daily Presence Practice

Takeaway: Practical ways to cultivate meaning, purpose, and connection in everyday life.

Week 8 - Self-Led Living

Bring everything together and begin moving forward with clarity, confidence, and purpose.

This final week focuses on integration, helping you develop a sustainable vision for the future while learning how to navigate life's challenges from a grounded and Self-led place.

Practical Tools:

  • The Greathearted Compass

Takeaway: A practical framework for continuing your journey long after the program ends.
